| Beyonce Is MTV News’ #4 Woman Of The Year |
Which stars had the biggest year? All this week, we’ll be unveiling our Top 9 men and women of 2009, counting down to the #1 man and woman on Friday.
4. Beyoncé
In 2009, Beyonce went global. It’s not as if she wasn’t already one of he biggest stars on the planet, but over the past 12 months — spurred on by a mega-successful tour, a string of high-profile cameos, and the undying popularity of “Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)” — she became an honest-to-goodness global force, a pop-culture phenomenon whose reach was perhaps bested only by the guy who made headlines for doing the “Single Ladies” dance, President Barack Obama.
So, like Obama, could a Nobel Peace Prize be in Beyoncé’s future? At this point, we’re willing to believe that she just might … especially when we’re talking about one of the most idolized — and influential — women in the world. In 2009, Beyoncé became so huge that truly anything is possible from here on out.

Beyonce stands up for cancer..
Justin Timberlake, Bruce Springsteen, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé, Dave Matthews Band, Norah Jones, Mariah Carey, Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Kristen Chenoweth—these stars have more in common than their worldwide acclaim. They are all teaming up with Comcast to raise funds for cancer research through the first-ever Stand Up to Cancer On Demand.
In collaboration with the organization Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C), Stand Up to Cancer On Demand is available to existing Comcast customers free through March 18 and features a library of top notch musical entertainment.

I could give a damn what MTV says…They can’t even stick to the title of there network, let alone pick the woman of the year.. Beyonce should have been number one. I knew they didn’t know shit when they claimed Rihanna was the new “R&B Queen”, lmfaoo what dickheads..MTV is nothing but another gossip site like PerezHilton they only select there favs and run with it..There not a real “source”
