In just five weeks of release, Beyonce’s I Am…World Tour has become the best-selling music video of 2010. The DVD has sold 132,000 copies, 14,000 more than the year’s #2 music video, Rush’s Beyond The Lighted Stage. There’s still one chart week to go in 2010, but Beyonce’s lead appears insurmountable. This is the fourth year in a row that Beyonce has had one of the year’s top 10 music videos, but first time that she has come out on top.

1. Beyonce, I Am…World Tour, 132K. This concert video takes its title from Beyonce’s 2008 album I Am…Sasha Fierce. The DVD, which features guest appearances by Jay-Z and Kanye West, has been out for five weeks. Beyonce first charted with Destiny’s Child in 1998.

15. Beyonce, I Am…Yours: An Intimate Performance At Wynn Las Vegas, 63K. This video has sold 162K copies since its release in November 2009. This was the #6 video of 2009, with sales in that year of 99K.

The New York Post reports that Jay-Z dropped a whopping $350,000 on wife Beyoncé during a pre-holiday shopping spree. A source at the paper reported that “Jay was in a private room of Hermes doing last-minute shopping. He had a guard standing watch outside. He spent $350,000 on Birkin bags, among other things.”

Gwyneth Paltrow is set to be joining her husband, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin, onstage at the record-breaking, $25 million New Year’s Eve celebration at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

Coldplay and Jay-Z, who’ll be there with wife Beyoncé, have each been paid up to $1 million to perform for 2,500 invited guests at the new hotel. Sources said the lavish opening party is a massive spend by Deutsche Bank, which bought the 2,995-room property in 2008 when it was in foreclosure and spent $3.9 billion to complete it.

Singer/songwriter/producer Sean Garret is responsible for a ton of hits from several big name artists in music but now the new RocNation/Columbia signee is ready to put himself in the driver’s seat. “I’m a performer first…fortunately producing and songwriting was something that took off really really big for me,” Garrett says in a recent interview at a BET Music Matters concert. “I just had my seventeenth number one record last year for Usher. Ironically, my first number one record was Usher.” Garrett, who remains grounded for being in his current position, praises all the artists he has worked with, including superstar Beyonce. “I wanna give a lot thanks and appreciation for every artist that I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of, they’ve been so instrumental in helping me in my life,” Garrett says. “I wanna personally thank my girl Beyonce. Beyonce was definitely the one that helped me get my new deal. She called Hov, she called Ty…‘like yo I really love the song,’ so I just wanna thank her man. Between her and Hov, Hov gave me the name: The Pen, and Beyonce really helped me out in my artist career.”

But she has other collaborations in mind for the next one: “I would honestly love to work with one of the girls that are huge in pop, like a Beyoncé or Lady Gaga or Fergie.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z flew into Sydney aboard a private jet before being whisked off to the Sydney international airport terminal to catch a flight out of Australia, ending their month long stay down under.
