Welcome to the NEW BeyonceWorld!

So, it’s finally here.  After being attacked and having to wipe everything, things are starting to shape up again.  On a personal note from us, we just want to say THANK YOU so, so, so very much to all of the people offering their help and support.  We’ve read every email and every Tweet and the support is overwhelming.  We’re sorry it even had to come to this, and sorry it took a little while to get back on our feet, but we’re so happy to be back.

As you can tell the site isn’t completely finished, we’re still still re-adding things as we go along, but we didn’t want you guys to have to look at that horrid Temporary Version any longer.  So, we hope you like the new template, and we hope you stick with us as we continue to grow and become the BEST BeyonceWorld has ever been.

Now, this is where you guys come into it.  We want to know what YOU want.  What are some of the things that you’d like to see on the site?  Some of the things that we used to have that you’d like to see back?  New suggestions, old suggestions, ANY suggestions.  We want to know.  As I’m sure a lot of you have seen, we have enabled comments again (the little red speech bubble), so PLEASE feel free to interact with us and other fans through the comments on each post.  We love to hear from you!

Just a quick note about the forum and gallery.  The forum registration was closed temporarily due to an overwhelming amount of user requests.  We’ll keep you posted on that one.  YES, the gallery WILL be returning!  We’ve already started to build it back up and we have all of the pictures backed up, but as I’m sure you can imagine 10 years of photos isn’t an easy thing to recover.  So it will take time, but it WILL be back completely.  We’ll keep you posted there too.

So with all that said, THANK YOU again, and we hope you enjoy!

Rolling Stone calls Beyonce queen of pop

How could we possibly have gotten through this brutal bummer of a decade without Beyoncé. Calling her a mere R&B diva is, at this point, almost an insult: With grace and grit, Beyoncé has become the reigning queen of pop…

BEP and Beyonce rule the most weeks at #1 this decade

Billboard also compiled a list of the most weeks at #1 per single. Black Eyed Peas, as no surprise, have the #1 and #2 singles with the most weeks at #1. ‘Boom Boom Pow’ logged 12 weeks, and ‘I Gotta Feeling’ logged 14 weeks. The list (technically speaking) features twelve tracks, but only four spots. The #1 spot tied for most weeks with 14, #2 with 12 weeks, #3 with 11 weeks, and finally #4 with 10 weeks.

The two artists that have two entries each are Black Eyed Peas with the two in 2009, and Beyonce as part of Destiny’s Child in 2000/2001, with ‘Independent Women Part I’, and as a solo artist in 2006/2007 with ‘Irreplaceable’.

The list is as follows:

1. (Tie) Black Eyed Peas ‘I Gotta Feeling’ & Mariah Carey ‘We Belong Together’

2. (Tie) Black Eyed Peas ‘Boom Boom Pow’ & Eminem ‘Lose Youself’ & Usher, Lil Jon & Ludacris ‘Yeah!’

3. Destiny’s Child ‘Independent Women Part I’

4. (Tie) Ashanti ‘Foolish’ & Beyonce ‘Irreplaceable’ & Flo Rida & T-Pain ‘Low’ & Kanye West & Jamie Foxx ‘Gold Digger’ & Nelly & Kelly Rowland ‘Dilemma’ & Santana & The Product G&B ‘Maria Maria’

Other mentions:

9 Weeks: 50 Cent ‘In Da Club’ (2003), 50 Cent w/Olivia ‘Candy Shop’ (2005), Beyonce w/Sean Paul ‘Baby Boy’ (2003), Mario ‘Let Me Love You’ (2005), OutKast ‘Hey Ya!’ (2003).

Billboard 2009 Artists of the Year

#2 – Beyoncé

As Kanye West infamously pointed out at the 2009 VMAs, Beyonce made one of the best videos of all-time. “Out of all my videos, (”Single Ladies”) was the least expensive and took the least amount of time, and it ended up being the most iconic,” Billboard’s 2009 Woman of the Year reflects. “But once we got on the set, it was like, wait a minute. This is something special.” Not only did the ubiquitous clip inspire thousands of YouTube imitations, it also helped push her “I Am… Sasha Fierce” album to last over a year on the Billboard 200 chart.
